April 22 is the annual celebration of Earth Day. Today, Earth Day 2017’s Theme is Environmental and Climate Literacy. The aim is to educate both adults and children on environmental issues to protect future generations from side-effects of climate change and global warming.
How should I celebrate?

- Support coral reef, wildlife and rainforest conservation.
- Plant a tree or grow your own organic vegetable garden (or buy local, seasonal and environmentally friendly food).
- Care for trees, plants and animals.
- Go paperless.
- Stop drinking bottled water.
- Reduce, reuse and recycle.
- Conserve energy. Switch lights off during Earth Hour.
- Conserve water.
- Walking, biking, carpooling or taking public transport.
“On Earth Day, we celebrate all the gifts the world and nature make available to us. We recognize our complete dependence on its bounty. And we acknowledge the need for good stewardship to preserve its fruits for future generations.” — John Hoeven
