International Women’s Day (March 8) celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is an event held around the world to commemorate the struggle for women’s rights. Women have come a long way in their struggle for equality. The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March, 2017 is ‘Be Bold For Change.’ The theme encourages women to be bolder, stronger and more powerful in all spheres of life.
This year, the theme for International Women’s Day by the United Nations, focuses on “Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030”.
